No matter the level of singing expertise you have, you should practice daily. Whether it is the body or mind, some things just take the time to settle in, and creating a daily practice routine will get your vocal and breathing muscles in shape. Having time set aside for singing to focus on technique, posture, and breathing is the most effective practice; however, that doesn't mean you can't sing while cooking, cleaning, driving, or showering if you’re not being careful with your voice during those times.
Consistent practice will allow your brain to grasp concepts associated with good singing quickly. Don't forget to utilize warm-up techniques, either.
Singing every day, as a controlled practice, comes with benefits such as:
-Consistent practice opportunities
-Stamina Building
-Time to practice techniques, breathing, and proper posture
-Overall voice maintenance
Additionally, there are other benefits of singing every day outside of vocal growth that may surprise you:
-Improved cognition and lower blood pressure
-Toning your facial muscles
-Improved memory
-Boosted immune system
