When you decide to be a musician, short term go...

When you decide to be a musician, short term goals can be easier to achieve than long term goals. The last ones can end up in frustration, disappointment, sadness, and it can even make you quit your dreams when what you want to accomplish seems impossible. Additionally, there are some common struggles that you and many other fellow musicians will possibly have or have suffered from:

-Low paying (or free) shows
-Expensive equipment and instruments
-Fixing damaged items
-Writer's block
-Hours of work on music that no one seems to appreciate
-Lack of presence in your own community

There are enough depressing things in our life; our passion should not be one of them. If you are not feeling okay creatively, here are some tips that can help you overcome it:

1. Take a Small Break
2. Step Away (Temporarily) From Social Media
3. Talk With Someone
4. Play Only For Fun
5. Cover Something You Love
6. Go Straight To Your Inspiration
7. Goals and Mindset

Don't give up your dreams. At AIMM, we encourage you to continue and be successful.
