Milk and cereal are a great combination for a quick meal; however, if you are a singer, milk clings to your throat and creates extra mucus, something you surely don't want if you are performing soon.

You will consistently feel like clearing your throat during the performance and lack significant flexibility. For some people, milk can cause acid-reflex. Definitely, not a good thing to occur during a performance.

The excessive phlegm can give the impression that your voice is cracking as well. For your best interest, you want to stay away from milk and all dairy, including excessive cheese and milkshakes, too.

Being a good singer is more than just technique and an amazing voice. It requires willpower to stay healthy, so take your time to prepare meals to not hurt your voice.
